FRÉDÉRIC GUILLEMOT (1997-1999 RIP)

Frédéric Guillemot was The Old Dead Tree’s original drummer. Since the band’s creation on february 18th 1997 until his death on august 2nd 1999, he held this post. He marked in a definite way the band’s composition and arrangement methods, wrote and recorded the drums part of “The Blossom” and wrote the words of “Chained To Life” and “Last Sigh”.
Huge fan of seventies music, his influences came from Rock and Metal.
His death marked deeply the band and the composed songs for “The Nameless Disease” are entirely dedicated to him.


FRANCK MÉTAYER (1999-2004)
Drums

Franck Métayer, drummer of the band from 1999 to 2004. He left the band in order to better be able to devote himself to his personal life. His powerful and inspired way of playing drums counted much in the musical choices we adopted during the composition of “The Nameless Disease”, debut album of the band. This separation was carried out in goof conditions and the remainder of the band wishes him all the best for the future.


NICOLAS CHEVROLLIER (1997-2006)
Guitars

As guitarist and songwriter, Nicolas has highly contributed to the artistic orientation of the band. In fact, he had a major role in the composing process.
"The Old Dead Tree has worked extremely hard to get where the band is right now and in order to persist and maintain the quality of the music, it is necessary that we continue to work hard and always stay focused. But in doing so, it means that we nowadays spend more and more time on the road and in others activities and I don't feel the same enthusiasm to it that I have felt earlier. I have come to a point where I realize I won't be able to give the band 100%, and from both sides this will not be good enough for what The Old Dead Tree stands for. I will always love playing, listening to, and living music, but I will do it differently from now on.", Nicolas said.


FOUED MOUKID (2004-2007)
Drums

Foued Moukid has stepped down from his drums wielding duties after 3 years in The Old Dead Tree. He has decided to devote himself to his other band ARKAN in "full-time" mode, and also to others personal private projects.
"We had been working in this band together for almost 3 years and we shared some unforgettable experiences together all over Europe. We will obviously remain close friends and this "break up" has been on very good terms from both sides.", Foued said.
Foued brought some new elements to the music of the band through his way of playing the drums and his extreme metal influences.
